Hi Rosie , thankyou for the lovely compliment the turrets are all edible, made from ice cream cones covered with fondant .

darling. did you apply a layer of buttercream before applying the fondant to the cones. The finish is so nice a smooth.

Hi, no I didnt use buttercream i applied a thin solution of royal icing, works really well x

The cakes were 8 inch and 5 inch and the turrets were covered with a thin solution of royal icing before applying the fondant. Hope this helps :)
