Grandma's 70Th Birthday Cake
My cousin and I made this for our grandma's 70th bday. He's a graduate of Le Cordon Bleu in SF so I was nervous to get in the way. He baked the cakes and we made the fillings. I designed the cake and he rolled the fondant! It was his 2nd time with fondant and my first. The top is coconut cake w/lemon curd/whipped cream filling. Middle is chocolate/chocolate mousse. Bottom is white w/whipped cream/fresh strawberries. Edible images,silver beads. Can't wait for the next, I'm hooked!
I looked through hundreds of photos on cake central and I wanted to tell you all thank you so much for the ideas and inspiration. My grandma was truly impressed and absolutely loved her cake.
