Beautiful cake! How did u get your embossed print to be so well done? Did you emboss the fondant before covering cake, or after? I struggle when using my textured mats.

Thank you for your sweet comments!To make the dalhia, go to awatterson page here on CC, she made a wonderful an easy to follow tutorial. These flowers are easy to make, easier than it appear! For the embossed print, I always make it before I put my fondant on the cake. You have to press a lot to have this neat impression. Hope it can help!

I also love doing dahlia's but I have to ask you HOW do you get those heavy flowers to stay on the side of the cake without falling off?

I glued the flowers with royal icing. It stays very well in place.
