This owl cake was created for my friend Erica. It was made from five 7" round layers. The head was shaped from RKT. The "feathers" surrounding the eyes were hand painted, and the feathers on his chest were cut using a leaf cutter, an viener for texture, and were also hand painted. For the rest of the feathers, I stripped my piping bag for a multi-colored effect :o)
