Thank you! The cake is 2, 8" layers and 2, 6" layers that were cut and tapered for shape. Once the cakes have been shaped then they are crumb coated and covered with fondant. The top is a lightweight acrylic bowl that was filled with real gumballs. I sculpted the top from fondant to make a dome shape. The top part is then attached to the base with buttercream, and trimmed with a rope of fondant. Be sure to use dowel rods to support the weight.
