Cat in the Hat

Got an opportunity to share in a special 1st birthday. I was asked to create a Cat in the Hat cake to coordinate with the 1st birthday decorations. This is what I came up with. I was quite proud of how it turned out. My idea was to make all the figures appear "sketched" like the originals in the book. Vanilla cake with vanilla buttercream and fondant accents. All the figures are done with 50/50 gumpaste/fondant.
