Thanks everyone, I never thought this cake would be so popular with CC viewers. Some have asked where I got the rhinestone band: Save on Crafts.com - about $36. for three feet which covers what you see - with about 8" leftover.

just striking....georgeous. You said 3 ft of rinestones? What size on these tiers and how many servings was it to serve? Looks like a much larger cake. Did you put rinestones also around the base tier to match the other or perhaps something else?

It's a cake dummy for a show this weekend. Bottom tier is 14 - 2nd tier 12 - then an 8 and a 6. I have a white ribbon at the base now but will be putting a single strand of rhinestones all the way around the base. Looks too blah without but I display it on a silver and white patterned fabric which kicks it up a notch. Didn't want to "over-bling" it but I guess there's no such thing - once you are into the bling factor - the gloves come off. Also the web site for the rhinestones has dashes in it save...
