Great job! My husband and son love to hunt ducks so I might have to make this for one of their birthdays! What did you use for the stems of the cattails and to support the blades? I made some cattails for a waterlily cake for my mom. I used spaghetti for the stems and covered it in fondant, but yours looks SO much better! Thanks!

OH, I think I figured out what's holding up the blades...popsicle sticks! Ok, what did you use to adhere the fondant to the sticks?

TY i used long wooden coffee stirs sticks, because they are thinner than popcicle sticks. I layed pipeing gel on the stick placed it on the fondant and wraped it around to over lap and used alittle vanilla extra 2 glue the 2 over lapping each other, I also used half fondant half gum paste only because i was in a hurry for then to dry hope this help happy bakeing.
