Starbucks Cake
My brother loves coffee and Starbucks so I made him this cake for his birthday. Be easy on me, this was my VERY first attempt at fondant so it is not perfect AT ALL and is not as smooth as I hoped it would be. It tore and I panicked... oh it almost made me cry.
paris, your cake is too cute and don't sweat the fondant freak out...we all have them. Just keep working with it and you'll get more comfortable. You are off to a great start.
OK..I'll have a slice of this cake, and a venti Mocha Breve with whipped cream.....to go.
Oh I forgot to mention... it is chocolate cake and coffee frosting (along with marshmallow fondant and chocolate ganache for the "coffee" in the mug). It sounds like alot going on but everyone loved it and it was delicious. The coffee frosting gave it an 'adult' taste despite it being so sweet. :D
MMMmmm... sounds so yummy! I think it is awesome! My sister is a huge Starbucks-lover also & she would LOVE this cake.. your detail on the "Starbucks Siren" logo is great, good job!
