Hat Box Cake
This is my interpretation of a Colette Peters cake. It is actually a styrofoam dummy, I just wanted to try it because I have always loved this design. Covered in fondant, gumpaste roses, bows and ribbons, royal icing Babies Breath. From 1996.

another beautiful work of art from you!!!! how do you get the sides of the hat to curve up?
Thank you. I drew a hat brim pattern of Mylar paper, cut the gumpaste with the pattern. Let it dry on the Mylar with the edges propped up.
