This cake was for my son's first birthday. The theme for his party was simply ABCs. (he loves The Alphabet Song).

The top (the giant cupcake) was his smash cake; the bottom was a three-layered cake - both cakes were yellow "funfetti" (made my own), filled and frosted with homemade vanilla buttercream. The alphabet accents are Wilton Sugar Sheets.

I tried to make the cupcake wrapper from a Sugar Sheet, but it wasn't pliable enough.
