My husband was assaulted on December 1, 2010, and suffered a severe traumatic brain injury. He spent 2 weeks in the ICU and 2 weeks in rehab. He is considered a miracle not just in that he survived, but because he has recovered so well. I made this cake as a thank-you for the ICU doctors & nurses that saved his life. We took it to them on the anniversary of his injury. It felt really good to give back to them.
