Hot Pink Hibiscus

A hibiscus cake with bamboo border. I used my new Cricut cake to cut out the hibiscus and the leaves using gumpaste. The fondant colour is Fondarific Hot Pink with extra Wilton Rose added for a deeper colour. The turtle topper is fondant-covered RKT with a gumpaste head. Thank you for looking

When I got the order for this cake I looked for hibiscus cutters and found some that were $50 for two sizes! Then I read that the Cricut Cake was reduced to $99 (and is now $49) so thought this was as a time as any to buy one! I bought the Luau cartridge from ebay and it has the hibiscus flower on it. The fern is on the cartridge that comes with the Cricut.

Oh Lesley, you just keep getting better and better. So incredibly perfect. The finish on your fondant, the perfectness and evenness of your letters, the balance, that custom shade of pink, the bamboo (which I happen to know you did by hand); it all just works. Gorgeous. I love it!
