Thank you Mandolina. I've decided from now on when I travel it will need to be fondant. It's just too stressful to drive a long ways with buttercream. I never know what the roads are going to be like out to the venue, etc.. Luckily it held up! :)
:) I"m sure it was very stressful! I can't imagine that ride! :) Well done! I really like top tier and those rhinestone accents, and first tier. I don't see very well how you did that brooch but it is very beautiful.
Thank you again everyone. Mandolina, if I get a chance to post another view of it, I will so you can see the fondant wrap around the base. It's hard to see because the cake was all white, in a white tent, outside, etc.. Rhonkaye, they were real rhinestones. The sugar ones don't have the sparkle that a rhinestone has, and the bride found actual pins that had the rhinestone on the end that I inserted into the cake. That way the staff were able to just pull then rhinestone out before serving.
