Halloween Cake
The L.A. County Fair had a special wedding competition last year. I had always wanted a Halloween wedding but DH wouldn't hear of it so I thought I would make one for fun. When I walked in with my cake I immediately thought "what was I thinking?". It took all my nerve to plunk my cake down in a sea of beautiful pearly whites and pastels (and sideways glances!!). Was I surprised when I won first place and a brand new Kitchen-Aid mixer!! My crazy idea proved to be a winner! Thanks for looking.

The pillars were regular white ones that I covered with balls of marbelized bc and flattened with my finger.

how funny, i remember this cake i saw it at the fair back in october, and i even took a picture of it, i think it was the best one!
