This is the cake I made for my daughter's 8th birthday this weekend. It's decorated with lollipops, homemade marshmallow pops, skittles and gumballs. I used the Wilton Giant Cupcake pan for the cupcake. The bottome tier is a 10 inch buttercream cake with MMF "icing". I had a lot of fun making this colourful cake! TFL.

Awesome! How did you get the lollipops to stay in the cake?

That is so extraordinarily clean & perfect it looks like the Wilton magazine cakes that are done with styrofoam dummies. Excellent work. A pleasure to look at this cake!

Wow, thanks everyone for liking this cake so much. :D Tammy21122, I had to keep the cake refrigerated to keep those lollipops from drooping. They were heavy!

I love your cake...i was wondering what is the top white part of the cake ...is it fondant and did you precut the shape?? I would love to know how you did it...thanks cinderella4645@yahoo.ca :)
teaparty 11/27/11 at 6:30pm
cinderella4645 the white on the 10 inch cake is fondant. I rolled out the fondant and then placed a 10 inch cake circle on it as a guide. Then I cut around it with a knife in a squiggly fashion. HTH.
