9" round, 2 layers. I wanted to practice the petal effect on the sides of this cake but made with Pastry pride. It looks ok, but next time I will whip the PP a bit less so no air bubbles will show. Thanks for looking!

I like this! I'm looking to make a cake for MIL, she does not like buttercream at all, but it's gotta be simple and pretty, I think she would really like this.

How do you do the petal effect? I can't seem to find a tutorial about it, but there are a lot of pretty pictures!

Thanks! Starting at the bottom of the cake, squeeze a dot of icing then with a small spatula, press and drag the icing to the right. Place another dot of icing on the tail end of the first one and repeat the procedure until you've gone all the way around the cake.
