Cake for my nephew's girlfriend. This cake came out huge! I made 2 layers, one was vanilla flavor with strawberry filling and the 2nd layer was chocolate with cream filling. All edible except cake-board. Tissue, pearls, scarf, sun glasses, case, credit card and receipt are all gumpaste. Her picture is an edible image and I also put her pic on the visa credit card. She got a kick out of her pic on a 'fake' magazine :) TFL

hey... ok I think I am so in love with this cake that I want to re-create it for my cousin Jessica who is a fashionista! lol I need some how to advise on how you made your tissue paper. Also, since I have my printer now, How did you make the magazine? The cake is due on Sunday BTW! lol

Rosie, I am sooo going to borrow your idea and somewhat recreate this cake... I was wondering about the magazine... Did you print it on Wafer paper and add it as is or did you use something else?

lol, i just realized that I already asked you yesterday... lol For some reason I didnt think the question posted... lol

Hi 'Thisizme' sorry I don't get notifications anymore so, I didn't know you posted questions. The tissue is gumpaste cut in small squares to resemble tissue paper and then I just, kind of, folded the pices and let them dry with napkins around it to hold its shape. For the magazine I printed the sheet on sugar paper in my edible ink printer and 'glued' it to a piece of gumpaste that I dried for a couple of days. To put her pic on a fake magazine I went to one of those websites that say something like 'you...

Sorry, my message was cut off...the websites say 'Your Pic in a Magazine' ---and all you do is select a magazine, add your pic, save your image and then print. Btw, those websites only let you pic generic magazines, you can pick big names like Vogue, Peoples etc. Ok, good luck!!
