Thanks so much for the comments! Carol74: I recently started a forum post asking about how to make the candy melt wrapper. You can check it out by looking at my forum posts. I know the directions are in one of the Wilton books too.
I used the Wilton Giant Cupcake pan. So for the swirl: (I post a picture of this) I cut away one of the ridges all the way around (just so that the bumps would be more pronouned). Then covered it in a light coat of buttercream, you will have to run either a clean or gloved finger around the groove to remove the exces icing. Then cover in fondant. Then run either your finger or the ball tool around in the grove to indent the fondant. I hope that makes sense.
Also, the reason there is a hole in the bottom of the candy melt wrapper is because the first time I made it (without the hole), when I was hammering in the wooden centre dowel, when it went through the candy melt part, the whole thing cracked and I had to start over. So for the next one, I made it with the hole.
The hole is there in the bottom of the candy melt wrapper so that when I hammer in the center dowel, the whole thing doesn't crack (which happened to me the first time I made it).
