I did this for my sister in law's graduation from college. The bottom of the hat was a cake baked in a bowl and the top was a sugar cookie. I did it the night before and woke up the next morning to a broken cookie. I had to use a small cut down cake board underneath to support it and luckily got it repaired in time for the party!
