Rose Cookies

INGREDIENTS for pastry: 110gm butter. 240gm purpose flour. 1/2 cup plain yogurt. 1 teaspoon baking powder. 2 egg yolks. 1/2 teaspoon active dry yeast. 5 tablespoons warm water. 1 teaspoon sugar. 1/8 teaspoon salt. Ingredients for filling: 1 cup walnut or almond or pistachio as you like. 1 teaspoon ground cardamom. if there is not you can use cinnamon. 2 tablespoons honey. Mix all filling ingredients together. Directions: Stir dry yeast with 1 teaspoon sugar and warm water,let to rest and rise for 5 min. In a large bowl beat yogurt and yolks and butter until well blended.Then add flour , BP,and rested dry yeast and salt. knead well with the hand. If dough is sticky add flour until a soft dough forms. Keep dough in a plastic wrap and let stand for 1hour to let rest. . Roll half of dough on lightly floured surface and Roll dough out to1mm thickness. .cut it into circles with a cookie cutter .place as a small of filling in the middle and turn out like rose.I show you on photo with fondant how turn out to rose and you have to put in the circle filling mixed instead of fondant which I put it.for moist and stick the petal edge I use white egg and apply with brush. Heat the cooking oil in deep saucepan.drop the cookies and deep fry until gold brown.Drain them on paper towels.

Great work. Quite interesting recipe. How much time did you spend on preparing? Soon I will have an anniversary and I want to cook something like this. Ingredients are good, by the way can I use organic yogurts there? I usually buy such yogurt for my kids, I think these are more healthy and natural. What do you think?
