I baked a white cake in the pie pan. When cooled I took it out and layered it like a torte. There were a couple of layers of frosting and raspberry filling. Then the top there was raspberry filling. The 'crust' is fondant cut like you would for a pie, then weaved on. For the side crust, it is a cord of fondant that has been fluted as a crust also. I finally painted it with food coloring and sprinkled it with sugar that has bigger grains. Pretty simple but very stunning!!
