I made these cupcakes for the sole purpose of trying my hand at Italian Meringue Buttercream - tricky, but it turned out well and just looked so lovely! My rich, chocolate espresso cupcakes for the base, with vanilla italian meringue buttercream swirls and chocolate shavings on top!
