Pumpkin Walnut Cake with Cream Cheese Frosting. Baby shower cake (and cupcakes) modeled after the baby's soon-to-be nursery decor. Thought up the concept of the three turtles coming together and wrapping the baby's gift while on a pond "island". The three turtles are mini cakes, and the box and island are all cake as well. The island was covered in cinnamon graham crackers and the water was made out of piping gel. The cattails were made out of gumpaste and I busted out the piping bag for the greenery around the edge of the cake. It was actually a very difficult cake to construct--you can't really see it in this picture, but the turtles are standing. Their feet didn't want to stay glued to their bodies so it was tough trying to get them to stay in place and on the cake. The design is modeled after the Carters Laguna collection. Thanks for looking!
