this is beautiful...what tip did you use?
    DonnaOK 10/17/11 at 8:30am
Luv....I used Wilton tip 5 on this one. Tip 3 tends to break a little too easy when piping the lines out. This one is a tricky one because when applying pressure to the back, you can get a few uneven lines here and there I use a crusting buttercream and then when they dry a bit, I can move them a little with my fingers if need be.

how did you get the lihes so straight?
    DonnaOK 11/6/11 at 5:43am
Thank you Alicotton. I mark it with a ruler as I go around and then I just follow that line when I am piping. I'm left handed, so if I didn't do that I would have angled lines all over the place!

Is there a pattern you followed? or were the lines just random?
    DonnaOK 1/31/13 at 6:08am
Hi shesabaker. I create my own pattern to follow with a ruler. I use a crusting buttercream, and once it was set up, I took a ruler and imprinted the lines onto the cake, for me to follow. This design is a little harder if you freehand. I then went over the cake with a wet paint brush on any areas I had where I had to join to lines together. HTH!
