My first attempt on carved/3D Thomas Tank Engine cake that I made for my son's 4th bday last December. It's moist chocolate cake in buttercream icing but because of the wet weather, it looked so awful. I scraped it off and replace it with fondant. It was not as good as I thought it should look but my son was very happy. That's all that mattered.
