The pirate cake and island were constructed out of one large marble poundcake. They were both iced with chocolate buttercream. The sides were decorated with rolo. The ship's deck contains malted milk balls and rolos. The steering wheel is a mini oreo. The crows nest at the top of the masts are mini peanut butter cups. The water was blue buttercream frosting with blue piping gel on top. Wafer cookiers decorate the top of the ship. I put swedish fish into the ocean. Crushed graham cracker crumbs cover the island. The treasure chest was a candle purchased from Party City. The pirates were also from Party City.
