Lace and cupcakes.....
My bride last weekend got married a venue in town called Harn Homestead. It's an amazing place for a wedding. That have an old barn out back and that is where the reception was held. I fell in love when I walked in and saw how it was staged. The bride had me create a three tier ivory rosette cake, and then she wanted lace wrapped cupcakes for the rest of the servings. I did three different flavors and fillings (red velvet with cream cheese, lemon cream with whipped lemon curd, and french vanilla with whipped strawberry filling) and then I hand made all of the wrappers out of three different styles of lace. I piped a red heart on the red velvet cakes. I made "I do" flags and scattered pearls on the second cupcake, and then I hand cut hearts and put them on picks in red and blue (her colors) for the third design. I loved the look of lace wrapped around them. Such a pretty presentation. My awesome hubby didn't have a wedding that day (he's a photographer) so he shot them for me.
