I made this for my 6 yr olds birthday, a mixture of cakes on CC inspired me- thanks to everyone! All firsts- first stacked, first fondant, first figures, first scratch cake/frosting/ MM fondant. I did use some Fondx red & black, though!. Buttercream with fondat accents. I know it's not perfect, but my son was really pleased and that's what I was aiming for. Mario, Toad and Yoshi were toys, all other figures were fondant, the pipe was RKT. I had so much fun, I can't wait to practice some more. I'm a bit embarrased about posting this aside all these talented artists, but figured I'd do it for posterity's sake!
