In community album: 2011 Awesome! Magical! Sweet! Cake Contest
This 3 tiered cakes top layer is made from rice cereal. The bottom layer is vanilla cake with lemon curd and the 2nd layer is a stawberry cake. I covered the entire cake with fondant. I decorated it with my hand made characters, flowers etc. which were made out of fondant and gumpaste. I used royal icing for the vines. Sparkling sugars were used for the top of the tower, for the Frog Prince's crown, on the butterflies and for the walkway to the pink door. I wanted to create something different from anything that I've ever seen or done and I think I accomplished that goal. I hope that everyone loves it as much as I loved creating it!
