Handmade gumpaste roses.  Quilted with sugar pearls as accents.  The entire cake was dusted with shimmer, but hard to see in the picture.  Bright turquoise accents to match the bride's dress.  Colorful and glamorous.

I cannot express the jaw dropping look on my face... those are the types of roses I want to learrn how to make. Where did you learn your technique? Simply beautiful beyond expression.

Thank you so much for the compliment. This was my first wedding cake with roses, aside from the final cake for my Wilton course. I felt the roses I learned to make were on the smaller side. So, I researched other techniques online. I loved tonedna1 gumpaste rose tutorial on YouTube. It's very time consuming but I love her technique and the results.

Oh. I also mixed a little fondant into the gumpaste. I don't know if that makes a difference, but I thought I'd mention it.
