To get the saddle shape, I just stacked some varying sizes of cake, and started carving away. I had no clue how to tackle it so I just dove in. Lol. I colored some fondant brown and covered the saddle, then used a veining tool and a few cutters to get the embroidered design. Then I painted the whole thing with food color gel mixed with vodka, and whoila! The whole thing took a lot less time than I thought, and I was very pleased. Thanks for looking!
