In community album: Birthday Cakes
This is my very first attempt at making a cake decorated with fondant. My brother turned 37 and requests a homemade chocolate on chocolate cake and since he plays golf so much I decided to try this golf themed cake. He loved it. The golfer is made of fondant. I used wilton's fondant to create the golfer and used Duff's butter cream fondant to cover the cake and make the blades of grass along the sides and the green. I had no idea how to fix my mistakes on the side so that is why I used blades of grass around the cake as my "cover up". He never knew. :)

you did an awesome job considering this is your first attempt with fondant. I dont like working with Duff fondant because its very greasy and things dont come out as smooth as the wilton fondant. Congrats
