I made this treasure chest "pull-apart" cake for my best friend's son's 4th birthday. I made the buttercream frosting slightly thicker so it wouldn't drip through the cracks between the cupcakes. The design was very simple. The chest was three wide stripes for the bottom and two wide stripes at an angle for the top with simple details. Very easy and very recognizable. I used chocolate rocks, rock candy, gold coins, candy necklaces, ring pops, and a few gummy sharks. The kids went wild for it!
