Princess Castle Cake
This cake was done for my daughter's 1st b-day. She had already attacked the cake causing one side to start falling before we could get a good picture of it. It was fairly easy to make although time consuming, I baked cake inside of soup cans for the towers with ice cream cones on top. Fruit roll-up mote, graham cracker drawbridge. The inside is just a drawing I made on a sheet of paper and lined the back with wax paper for easy removal.
Very cute idea! Nice details!
Adorable! I love how you made the picture inside the front door and I like the vines too!
Perfect for a little princess!! Great job!!
I love this castle. What size pan did you use for the castle itself? Looks terrific. Love the detail of your drawing. It adds a lot! ;-D
thank you, I guess if I knew about the fbct back then, I would have done that for the door......this castle looks so funny with all the knowledge I have gained from this website...nothing like how I would do it today if I were to do another castle LOL
the castle itself was 2 bread pans, and I used chocolate covered sugar wafers for the top of the castle walls (the top part that almost looks cut out) If I had known better at the time I probably would have attempted a buttercream transfer for inside the door instead of the photo, but thank you for the compliment
