how do you get chocolate melts on for the bottom of the glass without breaking?

I took a skewer and heated the end a little than pushed it into the center of the candy melt. It softened it up enough to push it through, then I rotated it around to make the hole slightly bigger. Then I tested it to make sure a lollipop stick would fit. Hope that helps! :D
