(Aug 27, 2010) This is a cake i made for my son's 1st birthday. I hand made all the figures from fondant. It is covered with buttercream bc the southern ms humidity woudl not cooperate with the making of mmf. Note to self...make mmf before you actually need to use it!! These were my first figures to make. I tried to make a palm tree, but it broke as i was putting it on the cake, so it got trashed. I think i would have been more satisfied with this cake had my tree not broken and it have the sleek look it would have had with the fondant covering.
