this was my first wedding-style, tiered birthday cake. I did this as a total surprise and favor for a friend who's little girl was turning 2. She was having a small party at her apartment and so I thought this would be nice centerpiece for the party! She was thrilled and I had a lot of fun making it. It was the first time I used internal supports and a few different decorating techniques on one cake. I love the simplicity of it, and it was by far one of the easiest cakes I've ever done, because it's basically 3 round cakes, covered in fondant and then a few little details. The little doll at the top was a little Polly Pocket I had around the house, and that last bit of cake that I semi-sculpted into a dress (it was a soft cake so it wasn't that easy to carve).
