This is my son's 5th birthday cake. He wanted a fireman/firetruck theme, and this is what I came up with. I wanted this cake to look like an illustration out of a children's book, so I dry dusted every single piece on the cake with powdered food colors. The buildings are cut out of gumpaste, and then handpainted with airbrush colors. The buildings go completely around the circumference of the cake.
