This cake was for my Dad's birthday. He has always been a huge fan of the Boston Bruins and since they won the Stanley Cup playoffs it was a perfect year to give him a Bruins themed cake. The cake was Devils food and cream cheese frosting with fondant accents. I used Wilton fondant for the logo so it would dry hard. I made the logo by printing it out on the computer then rolled the yellow fondant SUPER thin so I could see the logo through it. I used an xacto knife to cut away the parts that should be white and then hand painted the black directly onto the yellow fondant with gel food coloring and alcohol. I then carefully peeled it off the paper and let it dry on a cornstarch covered countertop over night. Took forever but he loved it.
