My first musical instrument!! I made this for a dear friend's birthday! It's one layer vanilla cake and vanilla buttercream. I found a picture online I used for a template and cut everything out days ahead so things would have time to dry. I used fondant/gumtex mixed for the components. Although I should have used gumpaste because not everything hardened up completely. Thanks for looking!

I used string! :) I had a metallic yarn that worked perfect! It's nice and light weight and easy to get straight! Totally recommend that. I tried using wire, but it was SUCH a pain and I couldn't get it totally straight.
