Romantic Elegance on Cake Central

This was my entry in the Celebration of Cakes show in Gilbert, AZ. 8-10-12" dummy cakes with 4 and 6" round dummy seperators all covered in homemade marshmallow fondant. Top tier has royal icing scroll work and a drop pearl border hanging down. Middle tier is the billowing technique with handmade sugar pearls. The bottom tier was a rose stencil pattern dusted on the fondant with luster dusts. An eyelet design was cut into the bottom of each pleat. Each pleat was cut, folded and placed on one at a time. The seperators were stenciled the same way and vertical strips finished it off. The roses were made using a 5 rose petal cutter, dusted and steamed. Cake board was covered in fondant and embossed. I won 2nd place in the professional divsion and 1st place in the wedding cake category.
