This is my first competition cake. It earned me 1st Place in the Advanced Non-Tiered category, two categories above where I entered it. I was so shocked, that I didn't even hear my name called! Evidently, after I took these photos and somewhere between my house and drop off, the little boy lost both of his arms. When I dropped the cake off, I never even noticed and that was the one thing I got a point deducted for. Where was my head? :-) This is mostly done in fondant and each and every piece was hand cut. I piped some royal icing and also used edible markers for some of the outlines. TFL
