This 8 inch square cake is actually a practice cake for a wedding cake coming up in September. I wanted to see how long it would take to put the frills on so that I can gauge my time for a three tier cake. This is a lemon sour cream pound cake soaked in raspberry sauce, covered in butter cream, and then fondant frills added, two rows at the top, and two rows at the bottom, and fondant center ribbon and flower molded from a Makin's mold in the center. The white flowers on top are made from royal icing and some leaves were made from gum paste, and some butter cream. I have a reunion that I am going to , so the cake will get eaten!.
