This cake was for a dinosaur/paleontology themed birthday party. The pieces are hand-formed fondant with a little Tylose added to make it dry faster. I formed the ribs over flower formers upside down. Since it was supposed to look like an excavation I used pourable brown sugar to give it a sand appearance and partially covered some of the bones. I mounded up cake and covered it with icing to kind of make the terrain look uneven like it was being dug up. I would love your comments or suggestions so please leave me some feedback.
