Cake made for granddaughter's sixth birthday -- I spent almost two weeks making the ferris wheel from gumpaste. I was so happy with the design and the finished product. I realized I had left the supporting structure for the ferris wheel at home and had no time to go back the 60 miles to retrieve it. So our last minute solution was to create the base out of styrofoam. While everyone else loved the cake, I was disappointed that I left such an important piece behind.
