Cake done for my nephew's first birthday party! It's hard to believe he's a year old already!

I used a soccer ball pan (about 9" round) and a 10" square to create the balloon. It's a yellow cake with chocolate buttercream filling. Frosted in vanilla buttercream and then covered in white chocolate fondant. The "clouds" are lemon cupcakes and frosted in vanilla buttercream. They used one of the "clouds" as the smash cake. The elephant and other decorations are fondant & gumpaste. Based on the cake design by Sweet Tiers. And my elephant was based on the figures done by The CakeChef. You can find them both on Flickr.
