This cake was so fun to make. The volcano is a 10, 9, 8, and 6 inch single layer round cakes. It is chocolate with chocolae mousse filling and iced with a chocolate crusting buttercream. It is sitting on a 14 inch round strawberry cake with white chocolate mousse filling and white chocolate buttercream. The lava is fondant. I cut a hole in the top of the volcano and put a styrofoam cup that I airbrushed with brown food coloring. I put dry ice and warm water in the cup for the smoke effect during the party.
