I made this cake for my Mums birthday in a mad rush as my first cake collapsed, it started like as a sponge covered fondant vase with the flowers coming out of it, bit the vase collapsed and had to rush this cake the morning of my mums birthday, took me 2 hours from baking to covering so some slight bulging to the fondant as the cake had not settled when I decorated it, this must be one of my worst efforts...all the flowers are edible fondant, if anyone has any tips on how to makes a vase cake strong enought to support fondant flowers then Id really appreciate it
