the cones were painted with luster dust mixed with vodka. The stonework was one I read off of someone else's castle cake I think it was on here. I used tip 12 and made lots of dots in a stone like pattern. Then after the BC crusted I used a Viva paper towel and sort of flattened them out I didn't really rub the towel like you do when you smooth more of just a pat on them to take off any points my dots had. It was pretty simple to do just took a little time.

The towers are regular ice cream cones covered in fondant and stuck down into a paper towel roll cut to the size I wanted the tower to be. Then I topped the regular cone with sugar cones that were painted with luster dust.

what are the towers made from? It kind of looks like two different types of ice cream cones, but I'm pretty sure it's not that as the back ones are so tall. Love how you stacked it like that. I'll have to remember that for future reference! The castle cake I did was much harder to transport.
